Accelerate Women’s Entrepreneurship Program accepting applications

The Louisiana Entrepreneurship & Economic Development Center’s session of Accelerate Women’s Entrepreneurship will begin April 30. It will take place on three consecutive Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The University of Louisiana at 69´«Ã½â€™s LEED and the 69´«Ã½ Economic Development Authority are partnering to coordinate the program. It includes three weeks of training, mentorship opportunities, one-on-one consulting, and connections to community resources. 

Women business owners seeking assistance with growth strategies and women who have a business idea or who want to turn a hobby or side job into a full-time business are eligible to apply. The cost to participate in the program, which is $25.

Accelerate Women’s Entrepreneurship will help women entrepreneurs create and/or grow their own businesses. The LEED has hosted 14 Accelerate program cohorts in the past 38 months. Previous programs have focused on the northside of 69´«Ã½ and rural parishes across Acadiana.
